Founder’s Message

Curriculum development became a passion of mine after being presented with the opportunity to build a STEM program. Without being properly trained, I was worried and scared that I might not succeed in creating a program that students would like. With a little research, determination, creativity, and support from my administrators, I was able to implement innovative ways for my students to approach completing their work. All it took was an idea and passion. So, I truly hope that learning through projects will help to spark your passion.

Project-Based Learning is exciting!

There is no specific way to conduct it, so stepping outside of the box is encouraged and is exactly what STEMMIX prides itself on. We’ve implemented new techniques, unique structures, familiar procedures and routines, old concepts, and flexible learning all rolled up into one. We want you to experience authentic learning while having fun. All learning is exploratory and can be extended as needed. It’s perfectly okay to fail at a task. We only ask that you don’t quit, review your lessons, ask for help, make some changes, and try it again. You will love the results and feel way more confident as you continue engaging in your other projects.
